We also offer you a possibility of obtaining an official Russian apostille for your documents. This is necessary in certain cases for validation of a document issued by one state which shall be implemented in the other. Otherwise, you may face serious problems while performing certain legal acts outside the country which issued the appropriate document. In particular, the documents lacking apostille may be pronounced invalid in the other country. However, the documents shall first undergo notarization (except for civil registry documents). All you need to know about the apostille is that certain countries (including Russia) have entered into a multilateral agreement: the Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents of October 5, 1961. A standard apostille is a special stamp used to certify the authenticity of a signature, the capacity of the signing officer and the veracity of a seal or stamp affixed to the document. This stamp affords ground for the document to be accepted in the other member states of the Convention.

The documents issued by state authorities of the aforecited countries shall bear an apostille. Otherwise the notary public shall have the right of refusal to notarize the translation.

Note: Please make sure you have obtained the apostille for documents issued outside Russia. We arrange solely for obtaining a Russian apostille for documents going abroad.
