Translation Method

A tried-and-true translation technology predetermines the final result to a large extent. Once an order is made it passes certain performance stages. We use the ordinary and proved methods coupled with the state-of-the-art computer technologies to make an accurate translation. This helps ensure the quality of what we do.

Classic Paper Dictionaries

Only narrow-minded translators avoid using dictionaries. Despite the latest computer developments in translation field, we often appeal to classic dictionaries. Some of them include more entries than e-dictionaries or are dedicated to a certain sphere. Considering the specific branches of our translation, we largely use legal, medical and technical dictionaries.

E-dictionaries

Living in the 21st century means using dedicated e-dictionaries such as ABBYY Lingvo and those available on the subject sites across the Internet. They replicate the classic dictionaries to a certain extent but are more handy and always on top of the screen as all the work is done using the computer. We often use Multitran to aid ourselves.

Reference Websites

Navigating the Internet one can find a lot of useful webpages dedicated to a narrow field of knowledge which help comprehend the meaning of a particular term. We also address ourselves to experts with a necessary qualification in the field.

Set of Dedicated Materials

We can always look through the materials covering a certain sphere which are available in our offices should a translation require an in-depth analysis of the point. In particular, we have a set of all current Russian codes and certain foreign legal acts, technical manuals and medical reference books.

Translation Memory Systems

By deploying the Translation Memory technology the specialized computer software helps making a quality translation and sensibly minimizes the text processing timeframe. While translating the 'original text — translation' pairs are accumulated within the database to be used further on when translating new documents. While using this technology the translator has nothing more to do than to translate the new text segments and to edit those partly overlapping. Any changes or a new translation shall be then stored within the ТМ, and thus you need not translating anything twice. This also helps unify the terminology used throughout any customer's documents.

We have computerized the translation process to some extent but we totally abstain from using automatic translation. The existing automatic translation software currently offers a result which is quite inferior. We do not find it normal to hand out such translation to our customers and never do so!
